Bengaluru, Dec 2: Going by the current indications, the chances of investigation into honey trap scandal involving legislators reaching logical end are remote. In the meanwhile, former minister, H D Kumaraswamy, speaking in election meetings in north Karnataka, claimed that nine of the disqualified legislators were involved with this scandal. 

The city crime branch (CCB), which had begun investigation based on complaint made by a legislator from north Karnataka, had come to know that over 20 persons including several legislators and influential persons had become victims of this trap. But the people's representatives involved with this crime are hesitant to file complaint as they are afraid of losing their honour and dignity among the public. They have been approaching the courts seeking stay against transmission and publication of the news and video clips relating to their activities.

CCB personnel claim that several legislators who have got caught in the scandal have been prevailing upon the CCB to destroy evidences in the form of videos projecting them in intimate involvement with ladies. The CCB police, who had seized a number of documents including recordings from arrested main accused Raghavendra, had taken him into police custody for ten days, as they expected to receive more complaints. However, they sent him back to judicial custody on Saturday night, much before the police custody period ended, which indicates that the scandal might be given a decent burial.
