Udupi: Well-wishers hand over monetary help to orphanage

Udupi, Nov 30: Considering the noble service of Prashant Poojary, well-wishers and donors Alwyn Andrade and Abhijith Pandeshwar handed over Rs 25,000 to an orphanage.

Nava Jeevana Israel is a group of like-minded people, who work in Israel for their livelihood. The group was started to helping people in distress, mentally ill, and abandoned parents. Prashant Shetty took the initiative of running ‘Appa-Amma’ orphanage now with the help of his friends and other kind-hearted people.

Prashant Poojary has rehabilitated 22 people, including deprived, mentally ill, orphans, within one year of establishing the ashram. They managed to find the address of 12 orphans and succeeded to reunite them with their families. Alwyn Andrade Sasthana and Abhijit Pandeshwar thanked Prashant for his selfless service and handed over a cheque to him for his orphanage.
