Mangaluru: Dept of Hindi at St Agnes College celebrates Harivanshrai Bachan’s birth anniversary

Mangaluru, Nov 30: Department of Hindi, St Agnes College celebrated 112th Birth Anniversary of the renowned poet of Hindi literature, Harivanshrai Bachan on November 27.

The programme began with a good start by lighting the lamp. Four students came forward and apprised the gathering about Harivanshrai Bachan's life, history, achievements and his contribution to Hindi literature. The students were also asked quiz about the famous poet, and were rewarded for the same.

Dr Nagesh, HOD of Hindi, Dr Uday Kumar and Dr Shailaja graced the occasion by their presence and the programme was compered by Preethi, secretary, Hindi Sangh.
