Chikkamagaluru: Accidental gunfire takes away man's life

Chikkamagaluru, Nov 30: In a tragic incident which happened at Hesagodu within the limits of Banakal police station near Kottigehara in the district on the night of Thursday November 28, a man lost is life after a gun accidentally went off.

Laxman Gowda (52) from Hesagodu lost his life in this incident. Gowda had visited his plantation with his licenced gun in hand for scaring away wild animals which had invaded his plantation. On this occasion, his gun accidentally went off and Gowda lost his life on the spot, his wife Sudha, stated in a complaint lodged in Banakal police station.

Banakal police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
