Margoa: Minister Jairam Ramesh to Hold Interaction on CRZ issues with Fishermen on Aug 30

Margao, Aug 30: Jairam Ramesh, union minister for environment and forest will be on a visit to Goa on Sunday August 30 to initiate public interaction with fishermen community on Coastal Regulatory Zone (CZ) related issues.

Ramesh on his arrival at 6.30 am on Sunday will be received by Chief Minister Digambar Kamat and minister for environment Aleixo Sequeira. At  7.55 am., union minister along with CM and environment minister will visit sites, Khariwada and Katiem Baina and also interact with fishermen. Around 10.45 am, minister will visit fishermen at Agonda in Canacona followed by interactions with at 11.30 a.m. at Talpona, also in Canacona.

Minister Ramesh will have a public consultation meeting/interaction with fishermen community on CRZ related issues from 2.30 p m to 5.00 pm at Fr Agnel Educational Complex (Agnel Ashram), Verna followed by press briefing at Verna. Earlier at 2.20 p.m. the Union Minister will plant a sapling at the complex.

Minister is scheduled to have an interaction with Goa Pradesh Congress Committee office-bearers in Cidade de Goa at 6.00 p m. The minister will depart to Delhi on August 31, 2009 morning.
