Mandya, Nov 29: Former MP Shivarame Gowda, has made the startling revelation that he is in possession of an audio evidence of the conversation between chief minister, B S Yediyurappa, and K R Pet disqualified MLA Narayana Gowda, in which the two had struck a deal.

Shivarame Gowda, who showed a pen drive to media persons during a press conference here on Thursday November 28, demanded investigation by a magistrate into his allegation. He also urged both Yediyurappa and Naryana Gowda to swear in the name of Lord Manjunatha Swamy of Dharmasthala that they had neither paid money nor accepted it. "The initial deal was for five crore rupees. As Gowda refused to budge, more amount was offered to destabilize the coalition government. Release of a grant of Rs 8,500 crore sanctioned by former chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, has been withheld. If this is not true, let the chief minister come out with a statement denying these allegations," he challenged.

CM warns of defamation

In the meantime, chief minister B S Yediyurappa, during the campaigning in Yellapur constituency, noted that Siddaramaiah has been saying in public meetings that the former had offered money and bought the disqualified legislators. "I will file libel suit through the party against him. Before speaking lightly of me, Siddaramaiah and H D Kumaraswamy should think twice," he warned.
