Mangaluru: St Ann’s High School celebrates Annual Day

Mangaluru, Nov 28: The Annual Day celebration of St Ann’s High School was held on Tuesday November 26, at the school ground.

The chief guest of the programme was Medha Lotlikar, director, Saraswathi Mandir Trust, Mumbai, an alumnus of the school. The programme was presided over by Dr Sr Lydia Fernandes AC, General Councillor for Education, Apostolic Carmel Congregation.

The school band accorded a rhythmic guard of honour to the guest to the venue. The evening commenced with a wonderful prayer and a welcome dance. The headmistress, Sr Elena AC welcomed the gathering. Being the sesquicentennial celebration, the headmistresses at the helm, Sr Maria Rosa AC, Sr Louella AC, Sr Devina AC, Sr Carissima AC, Sr Marie Lucy AC, Sr Sudeepa AC and Sr Elena AC were felicitated. Josephine Rebello rendered the vote of thanks.



The highlight of the cultural extravagance was a dance drama depicting the life and legacy of A valiant woman- Venerable Mother Veronica, the foundress of the Apostolic Carmel. The script was written by Yashaswini and choreographed by Pramod Alva. The guests were welcomed by the soothing music of the school orchestra. A demonstration on the skills of self defence and Karate was presented. Dances and acts depicted topics on National Integration, Global Warming and Women Empowerment.
