Belagavi, Nov 28: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, Dinesh Gundu Rao, said that there is no free environment in BJP like the Congress and that once the bypoll is over, BJP will dump disqualified legislator Ramesh Jarkiholi. "The situation will be so bad that Ramesh will be forced to leave the BJP within a week after the bypoll result is announced. He is not in a position to retrace his steps now. We need to teach a fitting lesson to party hoppers," he said.

Addressing a Congress meeting at Gokak on Wednesday, he said he is unable to understand even now why Ramesh Jarkiholi resigned from the Congress. "I have understood the background and aim but am unable to openly reveal it. Although the party did not get any benefit from him, he was made vice president of youth Congress, and he was offered the post of minister in place of his brother, Sathish, by Siddaramaiah. Because of Sathish, Jarkiholi family has become talk of the town," he said.

Dinesh said that Balachandra Jarkiholi is known only for his Operation Lotus activities. He added that Ramesh has not done anything for the people during his two decades as a legislator. He also said that during Siddaramaiah's period, Balachandra and Ramesh Jarkiholi had got highest grants. He said that in Gokak, Ramesh and his son-in-law levy another GST that is in addition to the central government's GST. He blamed Ramesh for not being able to bring buses and electricity to a number of villages in his constituency.

Sathish Jarkiholi said that Ramesh has fallen into a trap himself and this is the right time to catch him and dump him inside the forests.
