Bengaluru, Nov 27: "The failure of the coalition government cobbled up by the Congress and the JD(S), as well as the actions of the leader of the opposition, Siddaramaiah, are directly responsible for the bypoll being held for 17 0-ssemmbliy constituencies in the state now," reasoned Karnataka BJP affairs in-charge Muralidhar Rao. Referring to the challenge posed by Siddaramaiah, he questioned the former chief minister whether he will take responsibility if his party fails to win a minimum of 12 seats.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday November 26, he asked Siddaramaiah to introspect on the reasons for the collapse of the previous government, before making changes against the BJP. "Siddaramaiah never was mentally prepared to accept the coalition government. 17 legislators resigned because of the lacklustre performance of the government. BJP was in no way responsible for the debacle of the coalition government," he stated.
Rao also called upon former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy to stop making baseless allegations. He advised him to spell out before the people the working plan of his party for the future.
