Udupi: Minor students assaulted by gang of college students - Principal complains

Udupi, Nov 27: A gang of students reportedly assaulted a group of minor students of Vidyodaya College here on Monday November 25. A complaint in this respect was lodged by the college principal in the town police station here.

Parents of one of the students of the said college, Akshay Shetty, had informed the principal about their son having been attacked in the college premises on November 23. The parents were asked to come to the college and sent with the student. It is said that instead of returning home, they brought together ten to 12 students of different colleges and attacked minor students. The lecturers of the college reportedly saved the students from the attackers and provided shelter inside the college premises, the principal A L Achutha, stated.
