Kundapur: Postal employee, others, accused of cheating man seeking government job

Kundapur, Nov 27: A complaint was registered in the town police station here against five persons including the sorting assistant of the main post office at Udupi. They have been accused of making the complainant to cough up Rs 20 lac by promising to provide him permanent government employment.

Praveen Poojary (25) from Balehitlu in Voderahobli village here is the complainant. He has named the accused as Asha, working as sorting assistant at Udupi post office, who resides near Anand Ashram bus stand at Kokkarne, Laxmi, and residents of Udupi Lalita Acharya, Shubha Bangera and Dinesh Babu.

Praveen said that he had paid money to these five persons based on their promise to get him government job. He has claimed that on their failure to get him a job, he had approached them to return the money but they posed him death threats.
