Udupi: Rathyatra of Child labour eradication programme inaugurated

Udupi, Nov 27: District administration, Labour department of the district, Law Services Authority and district child labour welfare society have jointly organized a Rathyatra which has information about Child labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act of 1986 and amendment act plus the Child labour eradication of 2016 was inaugurated at Rajatadri, the office of Deputy Commissioner of the district by DC G Jagadeesha and member secretary of district law services authority Cauvery on Monday, November 25.

Additional DC Sadashiva Prabhu, district labour officer Balakrishna M, labour inspector Jeevan Kumar, labour inspector Praveen Kumar, director of child labour project society Poornima, district children conservation officer Sadananda Nayak and Ramachandra Upadhyaya of Child helpline were present on the occasion.

The publication by the labour department has informed that this Rathyatra will run from November 25 to 29.
