Mangaluru: Constitution Day celebrated at MRPL

Mangaluru, Nov 27: Justice AV Chandrashekara, retired HC judge visited ONGC- MRPL on occasion of the celebration of the Constitution Day.

Speaking on the occasion he remembered one of the finest judges of Supreme Court Justice HR Khanna, who upheld the fundamental rights of the citizen in his judgement. Common man’s perspective is more important in framing and implementing laws, he said. He remembered the contributions of Sri BR Ambedkar and also made special mention of Mangalurean B N Rao who was a member in the draft committee.

M Venkatesh, managing director, spoke on the occasion and read out the fundamental duties of the citizen.

Al Rafeeq Moideen, GM, Law, spoke on the significance of the day.

M Vinayakumar, director, Refinery, and Rajeev Kushwah, CVO, also spoke on the occasion.

Rudolph Noronha GN (Corporate communications) introduced the guest.

Praful Mohan, chief manager, Legal, proposed the vote of thanks and Kavitha V from legal department, compered the event. Aparna M Nayak, executive – Finance, chanted the invocation. Noopur Bhalla welcomed the gathering.

The prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions.
