Bengaluru: Bypoll - Congress party warns leaders not actively involved with campaigning

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Nov 26: National leaders of the Congress party are angry at the lethargy shown by some of its leaders to take part in the electioneering for the party candidates in the bypoll. Although the 15 constituencies going to the poll have been distributed to the leaders, there are complaints that many of them are not actively campaigning for the party candidates.

Taking serious view of the complaints about non-participation of leaders in campaigning received from local workers and candidates, the party leadership has sternly asked the leaders to take up campaigning immediately, failing which it has warned of action, sources said.

It may be recalled that several party leaders are nursing a grouse at not being consulted when selecting candidates for the bypoll. Therefore the Congress is expected to step up its campaigning in all the 15 constituencies with immediate effect, in view of the warning sounded by the high command.

Congress leaders have not learnt their lesson yet from the past. If they continue like this, they will be kicked out by people and allow Communal and corrupt BJP to form government.
