Davanagere, Nov 26: Reacting to the former chief minister, Siddarmaiah's statement that the BJP government will fall after the bypoll, chief minister, BS Yediyurappa, said that BJP has been witnessing favourable environment in all the 15 constituencies and its victory is a foregone conclusion. He said that people will see for themselves on December 9 who will be sent home.
He was speaking in electioneering meeting at Kamalapur in Hospet taluk and to reporters in Davanagere on Monday, November 25. He dismissed Siddaramaiah's statement that the state government will fall if it secures less than eight seats in the bypoll, duly adding that the BJP is sure to become victorious in all seats and margin of victory is the only thing they are waiting to know.
Yediyurappa said that the people have already decided that he will be the chief minister for the remaining term of the assembly. He refused to react to certain statements made by opposition leaders, saying that the people will give a fitting reply to them. "Anand Singh's victory is certain in Vijayanagara," he added.
At the same time, he claimed that his government does not need the support of any other party. In an indirect jibe at the JD(S), he said that he will rule the state on the support of his party and will provide good administration.
