Udupi, Nov 25: On November 14 an incident had taken place at the gym at Doddanagudde near here in which the photo of Lord Anjaneya was desecrated by certain culprits and they had beaten two boys also. The police have arrested three people, including two in conflict with the law and presented them before the magistrate. Now they are out on bail.

The arrested youths are saying right from the beginning that they are innocents and have no hand in the whole incident. The three youths, who got frustrated when no one believed them, have vowed in front of the Doddanagudde Darga, which is revered by Muslims as well as Doddanagudde Dhoomavati Jumadi Katte, which is revered by Hindus that they have not done any act of desecration in the gym and have prayed with the diving powers to punish the real culprits who are involved in this act.

The three youths also have decided to make a vow in front of Katapadi Koragajja deity, which is believed to be extremely powerful to profess their innocence.

Speaking on this incident Ansar Ahmed, a local Muslim leader said, "When the law says that even if 100 wrong doers escape, not a single innocent person should be punished, how fair it is victimize the three youths in this incident?

"Prima facie it looks that some vested interest is behind this whole episode with an ulterior motive. We also condemn the desecration of the photo of Lord Anjaneya because everyone should respect the religious feelings of other communities also. So the police department has to wake up and find out the real culprits of the incident."
