Mangaluru, Nov 25: As preparation for the annual parish feast of St Joseph the Worker Church, Neermarga, the Confraternity Sunday was observed on Sunday, November 25, with zest, zeal and devotion.

The celebration began at 8 am with Sunday Eucharist in honour of Christ the King presided by Fr Vincent D Souza, director designate of the diocesan socio-developmental organization, CODP and concelebrated by Fr Anil D Mello, the parish priest.

The Mass was followed by adoration of the Blessed Sacrament led by Fr Vincent D’Souza. Thereafter the Blessed Sacrament was taken in a motorcade passing through Adyarpadav, Kambla, Valachil, Merlapadav and returning to the church accompanied by Vas Brass Band, Singing led by the Church Choir, the path of the motorcade was decorated with colourful banners bearing the quotations from the Gospel and cloth buntings.

Parish priest Fr Anil’s initiative and generous unstinted labour along with the leaders of the wards encouraged the parishioners all along the week in their preparations for this day.

The celebration culminated with the benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
