Mangaluru: Senior citizen from Kavoor hangs himself

Mangaluru, Nov 22: Laxman Salian (65), residing at Korantadigude in Kavoor here ended his life by hanging himself at his home on Thursday November 21.

Salian used to grind batter and masalas for hotels in the past. Since sometime, he had begun to work as a coolie. Out of his six children, one had met with an accident recently and is being treated in a hospital. Salian had visited his son at the hospital on Thursday.

After returning home from the hospital, he killed himself. Reasons which forced him to take this decision could not be ascertained.

A case of unnatural death in this connection was filed in Kavoor police station.
