Udupi, Aug 24: Relating to the incident in which a Hindi teacher of Muloor fisheries primary school, located within Kaup police station limits, had allegedly addressed his colleague Julian Stella Lobo in singular and hurled obscene words at her, besides trying to assault her, Julian has filed a formal complaint in Kaup police station.
In the complaint, Julian has said that the above teacher had assaulted her when she was sitting in the office room of the school and that he had tried to undermine her modesty.
The students of the school and the locals had expressed their resentment at the misbehaviour of the above teacher, who reportedly threatened those who confronted him, by claiming that he was close to a local political leader. The students had also registered their protest by boycotting their classes after the incident. Reportedly, the said political leader had called the concerned over phone and instructed them to settle the issue amicably through compromise.
As pressure had been built up, the block education officer had transferred the offending teacher to Yermal Tenka school, as the teacher was not prepared to admit his mistake. The fact that the offended teacher has chosen to file an official complaint now, has given a new twist to the case.
