Mangaluru: Saloni, Simona Saldanha grab medals at national Karate championship

Mangaluru, Nov 20: Siblings, Saloni Saldanha and Simona Saldanha made remarkable achievements in the 12th national level Karate championship held on Sunday, November 17.

Saloni Saldanha bagged gold in Kata and bronze medal in Kumite under brown belt category. Simona Saldanha won a gold medal in Kata under the white belt category.

The competitions were held at Milagres High School, here.

Both Saloni and Simona are students of St Agnes CBSE School. Saloni is being trained by Vidya Bangera, Vamanjoor and Simona by Victor D'Souza. Saloni has been practising Karate for the past seven years and has won many medals in state and national level Karate championships.

Saloni and Simona are proud daughters of Santhosh and Sapna Saldanha couple, residing at Vamanjoor.
