Puttur: Man crossing road hit by motorbike, killed

Puttur, Nov 19: A pedestrian who was crossing the road near Dhanwantari Hospital, Puttur, was hit by a speeding motorbike. The pedestrian, N Shivashankar Bhat (65) from Baremady in Ramakunja village, lost his life.

Bhat was going to a hospital to undergo certain blood tests. In the accident, pillion rider of the bike, Nafeen, too suffered serious injuries. He stands admitted into a hospital.

Shivashankar was a progressive farmer. He has left behind mother, wife, and four daughters. A case about the accident was registered in Puttur traffic police station.
