Panaji, Nov 18: A Russian tourist, who had come for a holiday along with his wife, drowned off Arambol beach on Sunday evening.
The cause of death is not yet known, though it is suspected that the 64-year-old suffered a stroke while swimming. The couple went to the beach in the evening and he ventured into the water for a swim. Around 5 pm the deceased’s wife approached lifeguards and said that she could not spot her husband. The lifeguards spotted a male body floating in the water less than 50 metre from the shore.
