Fatorda, Nov 18: Goa Forward Party chief Vijai Sardesai has termed the action of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to reject the file for Fisheries Corporation as “conscious rejection of Goemkar’s basic needs.”
GFP leader and former Fisheries Minister Vinod Palyekar had addressed a press conference pointing out that Sawant had quashed the process to form Fisheries Corporation, which was earlier approved by State cabinet.
He had said that the corporation was aiming to provide subsidized fish for the people.
GFP’s official twitter handler too react to the incident. “Shocking!!Unthinkable! Our action that’d have been benefitted common Goemkars struck down ruthlessly by the @goacm. If #Mhadei was gross negligence, this is a willful, voluntary and conscious rejection of Goemkar’s basic needs What have you got against Goa and Goemkars?”
