Bengaluru, Nov 18: Speaking to media persons at Holenarasipur in Hassan district on Saturday November 16, former minister, H D Revanna, said Roshan Baig happens to be one of the noted minority leaders from the state and his party would be too glad to welcome him if he shows willingness to join the party.
He said that if Baig decides to fight from the JD(S) ticket, he would support his candidature apolitically. He noted that Baig, who was with the JD(S) in the past when Deve Gowda was the chief minister, had crossed over to the Congress for some reasons. He said that Roshan had never spoken ill of either Kumaraswamy or Deve Gowda.

He said that a few days before the coalition government fell, Baig had visited him at his home and informed about what was to follow.
No support- Kumaraswamy
Former chief minister, Kumaraswamy, stated at Mysuru that there is no question of extending support to Roshan Baig as his own party has fielded a candidate from his constituency. He said that his party's candidate has already begun campaigning in Shivajinagar constituency and therefore no change can be affected now. He said he will strive for the victory of his party's candidate.
