Mangalore, Aug 20: Three youth were injured in two separate incidents of assault in the City on Wednesday August 19. Three, who have been grievously injured, are in hospitals.
Sunil (32), a resident of Shantinagar in Kavoor and Vinay Kumar (23), a resident of Mulleria in Kasargod were assaulted near A B Shetty circle in the heart of the city. Sunil and Vinay, unknown to each other were stabbed one after the other in matter few minutes by same set of miscreants. While Sunil is an employee in a library of an educational institution, Vinay is an employee of a finance company. Both are admitted to district Wenlock hospital. Sunil’s condition is reported to be serious.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident reported in the late hours of Wednesday August 19, Mohammad Irshad (32), a resident of Bhatkal was stabbed by miscreants near Falnir in city. He is admitted to a private hospital in city with serious injuries.
Miscreants behind both the stabbing incidents have not been identified. According to basic information gathered by the police, the miscreants were riding on a bike and used knife to inflict injuries.
