Mangaluru: Quiz competition ‘Prathyuthara’ held

Mangaluru, Nov 15: Sharada Degree College, Devinagara, Talapady organized 'Prathyuthara-2019' an inter-collegiate quiz competition for PUC students at Haridasa Mandira. Sixteen teams from Kasargod and Dakshina Kannada districts participated in this event.

The quiz was spread with ‘Eight’ distinctive rounds, which was presented with lot of creativity, thrill and suspense. The quest for knowledge, hunt for correct answers and the battle between teams till the end was the highlight of the day. The sixteen participating teams had borne the team names of famous works of Kannada authors, to make students aware of the richness and contributions these name make to the society.



‘Prathyuthara-2019’ was inaugurated by Prof M B Puranik, president of Sharada Educational Institutions. In his address he said, “Updated Information, memory and utilization are the three main essentials of any quiz competition. The top most requirement in the age of fast internet and growing technology, when information and answers can be found finger tips, is the need for remembrance and utilization whenever required.”

Vivek Thanthri, administrator of Vidyaniketan, Dr Kabinale Balakrishna Bharadwaj, principal of Sharada Degree College, Vinayak BG, principal of Sharada Vidyaniketan PU College, Mohandas, principal of Sharada Vidyaniketan Day Board, Sushma Dinkar, principal of Sharada Vidyaniketan Residential School, Dr Raviganesh Mogra, pPrincipal of Sharada Ayurveda College, Dr Rajesh Padekal, principal of Sharada Naturopathy College and others were present.

Prof Laksmeesha Hegde Sonda, principal of Sarojini Madhusudhan Kushe College and Chandra Kumar, principal of Vani Vijaya were the chief guests for the valedictory programme. Prof M B Puranik, president of Sharada Educational Institutions presided over the functions.

‘Nadhaleele’, team from Sharada Vidyaniketan PU College, Talapady won the first place, ‘Pakshikashi’, team from St Sebastian PU College, Thokottu won the second place and ‘Meghadootha’, team from Sharada PU College, Kodialbail won the third place. Bhagya compered the programme, Kushi Kundar welcomed the gathering and Thejas Bangera, college president thanked the gathering.
