Bengaluru, Nov 13: "I am going to contest on BJP ticket in the coming by elections of Karnataka. I do not know about the other disqualified MLAs. I am not the leader of the gang of disqualified MLAs," clarified Ramesh Jarkiholi, one of the disqualified MLAs.
Ramesh further said, "I have been saying right from the beginning that the speaker had to accept our resignations. I welcome the verdict given by the Supreme Court. I will contest from the Gokak legislative constituency on BJP ticket. I will not give any comment rest of the lot of disqualified MLAs."
"From the time the SC has given verdict in our favour, there is festive environment in my constituency. My well-wishers are celebrating as if I have won an election. I have visited each and every house right from the day of my resignation and campaigned," added Ramesh Jarkiholi.
Giving further details, Ramesh said, "As the case was sub judice, I did not disclose any matter. We were sure of BJP ticket right from the beginning. We will go to Bengaluru in the evening of Wednesday and join BJP officially and also submit our nomination for the by elections. The BJP government led by CM Yediyurappa will be secure. We will continue under his leadership and give attention towards the development works. Yediyurappa will be the CM for the next three years of term of the current legislative assembly."
