Kasargod: Seventh standard student hangs herself - Reasons unknown

Kasargod, Nov 13: A seventh standard student of the government higher secondary school at Kundanguli here ended her life by hanging herself at her home. The incident happened on the evening of Monday, November 11. The victim was Aditya (12), daughter of Gopalan from Kuttippara Manikkal in Bedagam.

Aditya had attended school on Monday. She returned home in the evening and proceeded directly to the bathroom. The family members noted that she had not come out of the bathroom for a considerable time. As she did not respond to repeated knocks on the door, the family members broke open the door and found that the girl was hanging from a rope.

Although the girl was rushed to the hospital immediately, her life could not be saved. The mortal remains were taken to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital. A case was registered in Bedagam police station and the school declared holiday on Tuesday as a mark of respect for the deceased.
