Kalaburagi, Nov 12: "Congress and the JD(S) will not come together. Therefore, for the present, B S Yediyurappa-led state government does not face any danger," clarified former Prime Minister and JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday November 11, he said that he cannot accurately predict about the government's future as there are chances of intra party bickering causing the downfall of the government. "The future of this government is in the hands of top leadership of the BJP. As long as there is support from above, the government will not fall. But we will not voluntarily extend support to the government," he stated.
He clarified that his party will not seek anyone's support or alliance for the bypoll relating to 15 seats. "We will not go to Siddaramaiah or Yediyurappa. Kumaraswamy has planned to field candidates in all the constituencies. But we do not have the clout to predict victory for all the candidates," he stated.
He said that there will not be any mid-term election after the bypoll. He analysed that Siddaramaiah must be speaking about mid-term elections on the basis of 'Bhagya' schemes implemented by him. "In the current scenario, even national parties are struggling to register victory. We are small power and we are building our party. In three years, I will bring my party to power. But it will not be possible if the election happens next year," he explained.
