Mangaluru: Many coastal areas get torrential rainfall

Mangaluru, Nov 11: Several places in coastal Karnataka received good rainfall on Sunday, November 10.

The city experienced cloudy weather on Sunday evening. Places like Guthigar, Panja, Sullia, Kabaka, Venoor, Bantwal, Kadaba, Puttur and Vittal received good rains coupled with thunder and lightning.

Some places in Udupi district got light showers. Places like Udupi, Brahmavar, Kundaur and Kota had sunny weather. Karkala and surrounding areas got rain with thunder. l

Most parts of Beltnagady taluk got rainfall after Sunday evening. The rain persisted for about two hours and in some places, even hailstorm was experienced. Dharmsthala, Guruvayanakere, Madanthyar, Gerukatte etc had good rain. Eid Milad rally was adversely affected due to rain with thunder.

The meteorological department has predicted chances of good rainfall on Monday in coastal Karnataka.
