Udupi, Nov 10: The logo unveiling programme of 'Samudayotsav - 2020', diocese level conference of faithful, organized by Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, which is scheduled to be held on January 19, 2020, at the campus of Kalianpur Mount Rosary church, was held on Sunday, November 10 at the auditorium of the association.

Spiritual director of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh Fr Ferdinanad Gonsalves and former president of Karnataka State Soaps and Detergents, Veronica Cornelio jointly unveiled the logo.

Speaking on the occasion, Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves said, "Catholic Sabha is well-known through the good work it does. It is really a matter of joy that it is organizing diocese-level conference for the faithful. The work of binding communities should happen through this conference."

Around 300 Catholics are expected to take part in the conference. The programme will be inaugurated by former governor Margaret Alva. In the valedictory programme Fr Peter Machado, Metropolitan Archbishop of Bengaluru, Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi diocese and senior Congress leader of Maharashtra Janet D'Souza will participate.

Six achievers in various fields and one life time achiever will be felicitated during the programme.

Alwyn Quadros, president of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, Santhosh Cornelio, secretary, Flyvon D'Souza, vice-president, Robert Menezes, president designate, Gerald Rodrigues, treasurer, El Roy Kiran Crasta, convener of the conference, Valerian Fernandes, immediate past president, Alphonse D'Costa former president and Walter Cyril Pinto were present.

Alwyn Quadros welcomed the gathering. Secretary of Samudayotsav - 2020 committee Mary D'Souza rendered the vote of thanks.
