Udupi, Nov 9: The department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal (MCODS) has become the first centre in India to use OMX solutions, Osseo frame Patient specific subperiosteal Implant prosthesis.
Dr Abhay T Kamath, Professor of the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, MCODS operated on a 22-year old female patient with a complaint of missing teeth in the upper jaw, which the patient had lost due to a road traffic accident many years ago.
