Udupi: Items with lacs of rupees stolen from mobile phone shop

Udupi, Nov 8: Things worth several lacs of rupees were stolen from a mobile phone shop here. The theft occurred at a shop named 'Playzone' located near Triveni Junction. It is owned by Rajesh Mabian.

The thieves entered the shop through its roof on Tuesday night and took away 59 mobile phones of different brands worth Rs 7,64,900. Rs 70,000 in cash that was set aside for some business transaction was also stolen by them.

The personnel of the town police station have registered a case and launched investigation.
