I feel that the cause of his death could have found first day on the spot ,if only knew who found him first and what measures were taken by whoom?Because when he was found hanging, may be out of saving instinct he was immediately brought down to take to doctor ?Or police were first to notice which condition he was ?Body was cold or warm stilletc. These small things can tell a lot about reason.was he hanged by someone? Was he first killed and hanged later ?were his legs touched floor?Or above? When everyone from Parish say he was loved by all ,was a very active
resonsible person everything speaks he didnt do it willingly .Hard blow to all.His post martum report is not yet there.so people are aggressive of not knowing reason.

Shirva Parish people are not divided we are “united for a Cause”, to reveal the truth and deliver justice. This incident could have been avoided, If the head of the shirva church would have taken the parishioner in confidence and addressed the people immediacy after Fr. Mahesh last rights and inform next step they are going to take. Investigation is necessary not only to find the reason also corrective action can be taken so that same incident is not repeated in future. Of course neighboring Catholics will support as Shirva parish is like a mother church for many people as earlier there were very few churches. Is it not the responsibility of the diocese to deliver the justice and be a role model? Preaching even politician do then what is the difference. Agree with Sandesh Lobo if there is a mistake form Fr. Mahesh still we people of shirva forgive him as we have more to count his good work than mistake, but if he has been forced to take such steps let it come to the light. Let pray for the truth,

If the close one's of Fr. Mahesh say with confidence that he reportedly committed suicide for some very personal reason, logic says that they might be knowing the reason, but do not want to make it public!

All this appears to be the outcome of pure mishandling of the matter. The public and parishioners should have been briefed periodically on the progress of the case. As all knew that there were rumors going on in whispering tones, it would have been wise to disseminate whatever true information available to the public during Sunday Mass or through Diocesan Weekly, which was silent on the matter. When rumors spreading like wildfire, no efforts were undertaken from the Diocesan level to douse the fire. All this could have lead to the outburst of anger. Since no authentic answers were coming from any responsible persons explaining the circumstances which lead to the Suicide has caused more suspicion which was further fueled by the widespread rumors. It is sad to note that the persons specialized in mass communications failed to recognize this basic human nature. It is the need of the hour to apply the healing and soothing balm to stop further damage. Years of colossal work by great souls needs to be carried forward in the Parish and the spirit or enmity and hatred needs to be calmed is the need of the hour.

Now the wheels of justice are speedily moving. Patience is expected from all quarters. Investigation and Judgement from a Court cannot be got in a hurry through public pressure.

To err is human to forgive divine! The demise of Fr Mahesh was sudeen and there may be any reason, after all he is also a humanbeing. But justice is required and the parishoners of Shirva were closely connected with him and they would like to know the fact. Nobody wants the case getting twisted for any reason.

Hope this doesn't end up in gaining political mileage. Only request for transparent and honest investigation without interference of politicians. Glad that support was evident from leaders from all walks of life. Request the Catholics of shirva to continue to exercise faith without indulging in any unpleasant incidents. Please note no one is guilty until proved. Please don't taget anyone and let the investigation be expedited at high level

Yesterday Mr. Mattur Hegde MLA from BJP was there at Shirva police station during representation by the Christian community. If the local MLA and also the people have a doubt why don't they ask the government to hand over the same to CID or CBI. BJP is ruling the state and the 17 MLA' from the coast should pressurize the government to do this. Even a Suo motto case can be filed by the police as there is lot of material going back and forth in social media. Why wait for a formal complaint. The same thing was done in Mr. D K Ravi IAS case. The state government can easily address this issue than keeping it pending so as to create a confusion in the Christian community

We all do not know the actual cause of Fr. Mahesh and there is no harm in fighting for the justice. We all love our priests and we cannot abandon them just like that. So we need to know the reason what is that "personal reason" for which he surrendered himself to the death? Due to the delay in the investigation process, and the quietness from the Udupi Diocese gave people to make lots of rumors behind Fr. Mahesh's Death. If its forceful suicide or Murder or threat the culprit has to be punished no matter whoever it may be! Higher level investigation is required so that we can save our priests and spiritual leaders in our community.
