Udupi: Social worker Vishu Shetty selected for 'Achiever' award of National Legal Services Authority

Udupi, Nov 5: Well-known social worker of the district Vishu Shetty Ambalpady is selected for the special honour of 'Volunteer of National level good law authority' given by National Legal Services Authority, government of India, New Delhi.

Vishu Shetty is the only person to be selected from the state of Karnataka for the year 2019. He also gets the honour of being the first person to get this honour from the district of Udupi.

Vishu Shetty is selected for this coveted award based on his mammoth contribution to the society in the form of social service, without expecting anything in return, following the law, rescuing helpless women, children, senior citizens and mentally ill people, rehabilitation of orphans and help for education.

This honour will be awarded to Vishu Shetty by union law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and CJI of Supreme Court on November 9 in a function that will take place at the Supreme Court in New Delhi.
