Karkala: Accident at Sanoor claims life of two bike riders

Karkala, Nov 4: In an accident which happened near Sanoor here on Sunday November 3, two persons seated on a motor bike passed away. The victims of the accident where Sudesh from Suratkal Kana and Katla Rajendra, who also lives in the same area.

The two-wheeler was moving towards Beluvai from the town when it suddenly went out of the control of the rider and moved wayward near Shambhavi Bridge near Sanoor. Thereafter, it rammed into an electric pole by the roadside. Because of the impact of the collision, both Sudesh, who was riding the bike and pillion rider Rajendra, fell about 40 feet down the gorge. Both suffered serious injuries.

They were immediately taken to the government hospital here, but Sudesh passed away on this occasion. Rajendra was being taken to Mangaluru for advanced treatment, when he breathed his last on the way.

Both the victims were Suratkal Govindas College students. Sudesh was a PU (commerce) student. He was a native of Hassan. Rajendra, basically from Bengaluru, was pursuing education in science subjects, it is learnt.

A case in this respect was filed in the town police station here.
