Byndoor, Nov 2: “The hope of right to education will be fulfilled when the last child gets educated. SDMC has done commendable work in government schools in Udupi. It is a matter of pride that Udupi is leading in education sector,” said MLA B M Sukumar Shetty.
He was speaking after inaugurating Byndoor zonal training workshop for SDMC members held by The coordination committee of Karnataka state school development and supervision, Udupi district, school development and supervision committee, Byndoor, department of public instruction, Byndoor, gram panchayat Chittoor and Taluk education resource center Kundapur held at Brahmalingeshwar temple, Maranakatte.
Kolloor Mookambika temple management committee member Vadamballi Jayarama Shetty chaired the workshop.
Maranakatte temple managing trustee Sadashiva Shetty, Brahmalingeshwara Kalyana Mantapa heads Ramachandra Manjaru, taluk panchayat member Udaya G Poojary, Chittoor gram panchayat president Santhosh Madivala, environmentalist, social thinker Dr Atul Kumar Shetty, Nithayanand Shetty, Byndoor primary school teachers association president Vishwanath Poojary, Byndoor zonal school development and supervision committee president U Avanish Holla, Byndoor zonal school development and supervision in charge Diwaker Acharya, Chittoor high school development and supervision committee president Raviraj Shetty, Chittoor higher primary school and supervision committee former president Shanker Bhat, Chittoor panchayat development officer Sandesh Shetty, coordination committee forum Belthangady president Ramesh Shetty, coordination committee forum district secretary Seema, Chittoor higher primary school students Rizwan and Disha were present.
Byndoor zonal accomplished teacher, recipient of best teacher award in the district, Rajashekar M Talikote, Anand Shetty, headmaster of the school Ravindra Shetty, teachers of government junior primary school Yojananagar, Byndoor, Dayanand were felicitated. Byndoor zone committee president elect Diwaker Acharya was felicitated by the MLA.
Committee coordination forum Kundapur president Abdul Salam Chittoor gave an introductory speech. A subject on preserving government school and making it equal to the nearby school was tabled. S V Nagaraj took part as resource person. Diwaker Acharya welcomed. Malati rendered vote of thanks. Teacher Guruprasad compered the programme.
More than 730 SDMC members from 183 government schools took part and made the workshop a success.
