Udupi: Hejamady toll plaza to have trial run for lanes with Fastag

Udupi, Nov 2: The trial run for lanes with Fastag was implemented at Hejamady toll plaza on November 1 after the mandatory implementations of Fastags which was directed by Nitin Gadkari, minister of Road Transport and Highways.

As per the directions of Nitin Gadkari, all tolls lanes are to be enabled Fastag with mandatory implementations from December 1. Hence a trial run for lanes with Fastag is implemented in Hejamady toll plaza. The implementation of Fastags at all lanes was overseen by NHAI PIU- Mangalore Personnel and Project Director, Shishu Mohan as well as toll operator team and independent engineers team.



Fastag lanes were initiated by the ministry to facilitate convenient mode of toll payment and hassle free movement. 10 toll plazas were selected in the state for the trial Fastag runs. Hejamady toll plaza from Udupi district was also selected for the trial Fastag run.

    There should be a proper application for Fastag where we can check the Balance and recharge can be done easily. currently we need to use the Bank app to recharge which is not easy and user friendly.
