Udupi, Nov 2: A youth, who was pasting sticker in a shop here, suffered electric shocks and fell down from a height of about 50 feet. He died instantly.

On the evening of Thursday October 31, Kiran and his associate, Chandan, were pasting the sticker on the wall of the shop. They had informed the shop and got the power supply to the outside lights cut off.

It is said that the shopkeepers in the meantime, inadvertently switched on the miniature lights fixed outside, as a result of which electricity flew through the wires Kiran was handling, and he fell down. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in the city, but his life could not be saved.

A complaint lodged in the town police station here has blamed the shopkeepers for recklessness, which allegedly caused the death of the youth.
