Panaji, Nov 1: Helicopter rides will soon restart in the state as the foundation stone was laid at a helipad in Ela, Goa, on Tuesday . Goa Tourism Development Corporation chairperson, Dayanand Sopte on Thursday told reporters that the initiative was taken to boost tourism.
Back in 2014, the helicopter services in Aguada were paused indefinitely after fishermen complained of the noise which allegedly took a toll on their fishing activity.
The services were later moved to South Goa, where the helipad pf a major hotel was rented out. However, this plan failed, owing to higher cost and logistical problems.
