Bengaluru, Oct 29: In the first major employee-employer engagement after the short-lived country-wide strike by the employees of the defence public sector undertaking, HAL, a week-long vigilance awareness programme was inaugurated by HAL chairman-cum-managing director R Madhavan at the company’s corporate office in Bengaluru on Tuesday, October 29.
The week long campaign consists of various activities such as vigithon, elocution, essay competition, sensitization programmes etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Madhavan said technology makes the system transparent and curbs corruption.
“As an ongoing process more system improvement need to be done in various functions of the company,’’ he said.
While addressing the gathering, B Selva Kumar, chief vigilance officer, said integrity and ethics were the foundation of any organization and employees should inculcate these values.
The bi-annual magazine ‘Margadarshan’ brought out by HAL’s Vigilance Department was released on this occasion.
V M Chamola, director (HR), C B Ananthakrishnan, director (Finance), M S Velpari, director (Operations), senior executives of the company and others were present.
