Mangaluru: Skeleton of 16-yr-old Fiona Cutinho found – Own brother is suspect

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Oct 26: A skeleton has been found at Mudipu and the police suspected that it belonged to Fiona Swedal Cutinho (16) who was missing.

Fiona was the daughter of Francis Cutinho from Pajir. She had been missing from October 8.

Fiona was studying in PUC in a college in city.

Brother killed sister?

Sources said that Samson Cutinho killed his sister Fiona after a fight with her for a silly reason. He used a hammer to kill her and then threw her body behind the house in a bush. When the parents asked Samson about Fiona, he told them that she had gone to Mangaluru.

The police had registered a missing complaint earlier. But after some days of investigations, they questioned Samson. After the interrogations, he allegedly admitted to the crime.

As per the latest reports, skeleton indeed is that of Fiona Cutinho.

More details are awaited.

Self control while dealing, playing with siblings very much required. Sometimes in a fit of an anger such as these extreme things bound to happen which should be avoided.

Too much petting and lineancy towards male child and bit of negligence towards girl child can also be dangerous as there is a possibility of boys taking advantage of the same which also should be avoided, parental control and guidance in this regard is very much required.

Who would have thought that a brother who was supposed to protect his sister would put an end to her life in such a horrible way. Yet another Cain murdered Abel in this Era.
God will avenge for you Fiona. Rest in peace.

In such news lines we should only pass our condolences and prayers. Guess work for three cause of death and other presumptions should not be passed.
    RIP Fiona.

"to kill her and then threw her body behind the house in a bush". In such case there should be extremely bad foul smell around their house and her parents should have checked on this. her body was there for almost 20 days! Rest in peace Fiona. Your enemy was nobody else than your own brother.

What we hear here is not to believe.Horrible.when it is true that brother hit sister with a hammer, looks like more than simple fight.Over that lei to parents? That itself shows serious matter.Very sorry to hear. When her body was lying behind house and was not found ,cant believe.may be he hide it first elsewhere and later put in bush?Whatever it is for parents shock ,loss of both children like Heartfelt sympathy to them and may God grant them enough strenght to bear this pain .May her soul rest in peace.

Arun mangalore, yes he needs a second chance, but time is already passed.

Now to see the reality and get treated and punishment for the deadly act.She was his sister.,and he spent time with wasting money of parents by drugs.not working.

why should she become a offer for his sins? Now without treatment he will not be back to normal life.Whether he would become clean at all?He should atleast say sorry for his deeds.to his parents.Did he till now?Seems not interested.

He is a criminal and not a victim. Poor girl lost her life. She is the victim. May she rest in peace.

A fight between the siblings; angered brother hit his sister without even realizing the consequences. A minute incident led to major accidental death. Appears like a case of temporary mental insanity. However, dumping the dead body in the bushes is a serious issue here. Obviously ,very difficult situation to their parents and to the family.
