Bengaluru, Oct 25: Former Karnataka chief minister, Siddaramaiah, had asked Yediyurappa to resign if the Congress bags all the 15 seats which will go to the bypoll. "We will then directly seek assembly election. We will not join hands with the JD(S). We are fed up of our experience of working with them," the leader of the opposition in Karnataka assembly had said.
Through tweets, Kumaraswamy challenged Siddaramaiah to honestly introspect and say with a clear heart who suffered loss because of this association and who worked for the detriment of the other party. "Did we come to your doorsteps seeking to form a government with your support? Did you cooperate with me? Who managed to keep criticizing me through various Congress leaders?" he asked.
Kumaraswamy wondered what kind of support Congress had extended to his party during the Lok Sabha election. He also pointedly asked Siddaramaiah to whom the disqualified legislators owe their allegiance.
The former chief minister wanted to know whether Siddarmaiah is prepared to answer all these questions honestly. "I am highly indebted to you for the cooperation and support extended by you. I will not forget what you did during my lifetime. We are not interested in having any truck with you," he tweeted to Siddaramaiah, by means of a taunt.
