Udupi: Fatal fall from boat claims man's life at Malpe

Udupi, Oct 24: A person accidentally slipped and fell from a fishing boat into the standing water at the fishing dock. This accident happened on the night of October 22.

The victim of this incident was Stellas (42), a resident of Kola in Malpe. He was clearing fish stock from a boat when he accidentally fell and drowned. The incident happened at around 8 pm.

Stellas was removing fish from the fishing gill net boat, 'Christarozian' at Baputhota dock in Malpe port, when he slipped and fell down. Other fishermen rushed to save him but he had altogether disappeared. His body was found at the dock on Wednesday October 23 morning.

A case about this tragedy was registered in Malpe police station.
