Bengaluru, Oct 23: The state high court, which took up an appeal filed by Priya Krishna, defeated Congress candidate from Govindaraj Nagar constituency in the city in the 2018 assembly election, issued notice to the election commission.

Priya Krishna has appealed against the order of the single judge bench of the high court which had quashed his application seeking directions to the election commission to undertake counting of VVPAT slips of all the 271 polling booths in the said constituency.

The appeal filed by Priya Krishna came up before the division bench of the high court comprising Chief Justice A S Oka and Justice S R Krishnakumar. The bench heard the arguments for some time and issued notice to election commission. It also issued interim order directing the election commission to safe-keep the VVPAT slips of all the polling booths, before posting the matter for hearing on November 24.

Election in India will not be fair unless and unless EVMs are banned and scrapped. BPJ is not agreeing for this cause they are manupulated by bjp to shift votes to their candidates. this is a day robbery and unfortunately no justice is being done with the voters. Superme court is not banning EVM eventhough there are so many proofs that EVM are hacked in favor of bjp. We cannot expect anything from EC as it is completely sold out its humanity + dignity to deshdrohis.
