Two school children drown in rivulet in Byndoor

Byndoor, Oct 17: In an unfortunate incident, two seventh standard students of Sandeepan English medium school here who had gone for swimming in Bonnaryana Gundi, Edamavina Hole, Kambadkone, drowned in a rivulet.

The deceased children are identified as Vamshit Shetty (12) and Rithesh Shetty (12).

Four children who were enjoying midterm vacations had gone for swimming in the rivulet. Pradwith Shetty and Vijayendra Shetty, SSLC students, who had also gone for swimming swam back safely from water as they knew swimming.

A search was in progress to locate the bodies of the deceased.

Body of Vamshit Shetty was found later. 

A case stands registered at Byndoor police station.

    Very sad news. This is a lesson to everyone of us as we are coming accross such issues every now and then. Parents should never let their kids go for swimming without any elder. May God bless the family.
