Karkala: Two lose lives in accident near Sitanadi Nisargadhama

Karkala, Oct 8: After a car went out of the control of the driver and hit a roadside tree on Sunday October 7, two persons lost their lives. The accident happened near Sitanadi Nisargadhama when the car was moving towards Someshwar from Hebri.

Those who died in the accident were Budan Khan (78), retired clerk of the Nadpal village accountant's office, who lived at Belara, Sitanadi, and his grandson, Sheikh Shahil (22). Two others who were in the car, Yousuf Khan and Qadar Khan, were injured. Both of the stand hospitalized.

Budhan Khan's nephew's marriage was to be held at Thirthahalli on Monday. For that purpose, Budan Khan and others had come to Hebri to visit salon there. It is said that their family members had called them, asking them to hurry through preparations and return home immediately. It is said that the car was driven at high speed to hurry home. As such, the car went out of control, veered to the left, hit a heap of mud and came to a stop after crashing into a tree. Budan Khan lost his life on the spot while Sheikh Sahil passed away in the hospital by the evening. The car was badly mangled.

The injured persons are out of danger, it is said. A case about the accident was registered in Hebri police station.
