Mysuru, Oct 7: "Former chief minister (CM) H D Kumaraswamy got rich through potatoes. So he might know the difficulties faced by the farmers more than me," taunted Member of Parliament Shobha Karandlaje on Monday, October 7.
Shobha spoke to the press in the city and was responding to the statement of former CM Kumaraswamy who said that Shobha Karandlaje does not anything about the farmers.
Shobha further said, "Kumaraswamy has shown his real colour last year itself. I will not respond to his accusation. I am not a farmer. But he should tell me what am I?"
"Let Kumaraswamy visit our native place and check. If he knows where Karandlaje is and where is Charvaka, he will know who is a farmer and who is not," she added.
Kumaraswamy had attacked Shobha Karandlaje on the morning of Monday, October 7 and had said, "Does Shobha Karandlaje know about farmers? She is playing politics in the name of BJP. She has got the votes in the name of BJP and now she is roaming and giving speeches. What she has to do with the farmers?"
