Bengaluru, Oct 7: It is learnt that at the same time as AICC chief secretary Madhusudhan Mistry is taking the opinions of the state Congress leaders with respect to the appointment of opposition leader, former CM Siddaramaiah has held a meeting at his Cauvery residence in the city with his close aides.
Siddaramaiah conducted a meeting with many MLAs including former ministers Krishna Byregowda, Zameer Ahmed, MLAs Bhyrati Basavaraj and Rizwan Arshad. It is said that Siddaramaiah has discussed about his next move in the party based on the decision of the high command.
In the midst of this development, it is heard that the attempt to collect the signatures of MLAs in favour of Siddaramaiah demanding that he only should be made the leader of the opposition and submit to Madhusudhan Mistry has failed miserably.
