Ajman, Sep 30: Souharda Lahari, music for harmony and peace, founded by Sadashiv Das (Das Kudla) along with likeminded people residing in UAE, successfully concluded their third annual day with singing competition, extraordinary Live Orchestra and dance performances on September 27 at Habitat school Ajman.
The programme started with lighting the lamp along with a prayer song from Yuvaraj Devadiga. Immediately after the prayer Final faceoff rounds of kids singing competition with sub junior, Junior and senior category were held. The whole programme was well judged by well-known musicians and singers from India Dr Shivaprasad and Kiran Kumar. Winners and participants of the competition were presented with trophies and certificates along gift hampers from various sponsors. All the participants were honoured with individual trophies.
Souharda Lahari’s nonstop four hours cultural programme opened up for the packed auditorium later in the evening starting with a prayer song from Dinesh Dodannagudde. More than 30 songs, 15 singers in seven languages were performed in live orchestra revealing the true meaning of harmony. Highlight of the programme was the performance of internationally renowned talented singer Rockstar Kiran Kumar, who made captivated the whole auditorium with the foot-tapping numbers of Prabhu Deva, which included famous music numbers of A R Rahman. Singers Ramachandra Bedradka, Ashok Anchan, Haneef Periya, Sukanya Sharath, Soorya Keshava, Yuvaraj, Pramod, Tanveer Ahmad, Dr Santhosh, Dinesh D, Florin, Sannidi Shetty, Mayank Mahesh Attavara, Vincent and Jayanth Shetty entertained the audience with various superhit songs. The team was well supported by the orchestra team of Vincent on guitar, Dr Shivaprasad on Rhythms, Arun on Rhythm Pad, Jamshad on Keyboard and john on Jazz along with Manoj on Tabla.
Performers from Golden Star Fine Arts Center, Sanskriti Dance, and Smile Creations gave spectacular dance performances.
At the beginning of the programme tradition of lighting the lamp was done by Sauharda Lahari’s president Ashok Anchan, vice president Ashok Bailur, advisor Daya Kirodian, secretary Yuvaraj, cultural secretary Dinesh D, treasurer Karunakara Adyar, members Mahesh Attavara, Haneef Periya, Yashwanth, Suresh N Shetty and Richard Abu Dhabi.
Bu Abdulla, chairman of Bu Abdulla Group, was the chief guest of the event and enjoyed the performance, especially the folk dance of Karnataka and congratulated the singing competition winners and competitors of the event. He was accompanied by his delegation.
Kiran Kumar, Dr Shivaprasad and Arun, artiste from India, was felicitated on this occasion. Chief guest Bu Abdulla, chairman of Bu Abdulla Group, Kiran Shetty, dignitaries of various associations, Shashidhar Nagarajappa, secretary of Karnataka Sangha Dubai and founder of Kannada Paatha Shaale Dubai, Suganand Bekal, Noel Almeida, former presidents of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, Prakash Payyar, President Dwani Pratisthana, Arun Muttugadur and all the committee members were present on the dais.
